NONILO  RAMOSO

Nonilo Ramoso, or Boyet to friends and art circles in Cagayan de Oro city, is a community theater practitioner and a practicing designer who recently ventured into the visual arts. He is an assistant director and actor of the Teatro Hulagway of Sacred Heart Bugo Parish and is very comfortable with collective creation. As a child he was already drawing, a skill that was put to good use in designing sets for the groups regular performances. Ramoso was able to avail of the animation scholarship offered by ICI (Iligan Computer Institute) in 2008. Though not a practicing animator, he has used the experience, along with his set design background and tattoo skills to create abstract, semi-abstract and representational artworks revolving around nature and personal themes. Last year he participated in Sendong-related installation art projects organized by Xavier University Museum (Bangon CDO Installation Art Exhibition for February Arts Month) and the Cultural Center of the Philippines (Kalinga ng Sining). Last February 2013, he again joins Xavier University Museum’s February Arts Month celebrations with a collaborative installation art piece with Richard Bolotaolo. Recently, he was a junior designer of Chris Gomez Creative Design for product development and design projects.
